Love all of those too, Craig! By the way, you are REALLY great about implementing the “make it about them not about you” concept. Love that about you!

  2. Hi Krista,

This is an excellent collection of Simon’s work. We use the Golden Circle in a lot of our consulting engagements and it’s been so successful. I like the quote about not buying what you do or even how you do it, but rather buying based on why.

Based on the research behind the Golden Circle, there’s such an opportunity to help companies market and sell with an inside out approach and focus on why but so many people start with what and then move to how. It’s so backwards; especially when you understand the brain and how we make decisions!

I’m curious which resonates most with you?

  3. kristakotrla says:

Great question, Geoff. :-) I love them ALL! I really love the mash-up of what they ultimately communicate — Leaders: care, listen, understand, believe, push, dream, invite participation, inspire courage, inspire action, change the world.

Thanks for the comment and for helping more companies grow! Keep rockin’ on.

  4. Sme very good views on management and leadership here; what really comes through many of Simon’s statements is that good leadership requires openness, credibility and integrity in order to connect with and inspire employees on an emotional level

  5. kristakotrla says:

Yes, definitely. Thanks, David, for the comment. By the way, I enjoyed your “Genius of Simplicity” post. Urgency + Care is a very powerful combination for great leadership. Love that.

  6. Hi Simon
First of all. Thanks for the inspiration.
Question: what is your root / cause / origin (why?) of the quote ‘Dream big. Start small. But most of all… start!’.
    Thanks.
    Bye

  7. Hi Krista
First of all… thought I was on the website of Simon Sinek but its not. Think we share a person we are following.
Regarding to this a question: do you know what is the root / cause / origin (why?) of the quote ‘Dream big. Start small. But most of all… start!’.
    Thanks.

  8. My favorite is, “make it about them, not you”. Why? Because this is my WHY for today. Too many of us forget this golden rule of social grace, most people make all things about them, it’s those that give and give that eventually receive their inspiration back from the world…which leads me to my number two: “The more you inspire, the more people that will inspire you”

Thanks Simon. Your thought leadership has allowed me to be inspired, and therefore, inspire others.

    Jamie

  9. Words are powerful, and your words changed my life

  10. Hi Krista,
Thanks for acting on your beliefs and sharing these inspiring quotes. Because I also believe that humanizing the work force for the well-being of all ( kai-zen ) the quote:“100% of customers are people. 100% of employees are people. If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business.” is impacting along with the“The courage of leadership is giving others the chance to succeed even though you bear the responsibility for getting things done.”
